Biography
Let me introduce myself. I am Bob Irwin. Born and raised in Los Angeles, I moved to Las Vegas in 1971 and have been a resident for 39 years.
My son Chris went to public school here from kindergarten through a Bachelor's Degree at UNLV. My two grandchildren currently attend public elementary and middle school here. I have watched Southern Nevada grow from a couple of hundred thousand to almost two million residents.
I worked in gaming at the old Mint Hotel and the Union Plaza downtown before starting my own business, a local gunshop in 1982. Over the last 28 years my business has grown from one employee to forty-eight employees.
The Gun Store at 2900 East Tropicana is my retail store, indoor shooting range, and firearms training classroom.
Through these years I’ve seen a lot of changes in Nevada over the years and would like to bring my business experience to the Nevada Assembly. Needless to say I have a strong interest in the future of Nevada for my family and for my business.
